Our Beliefs
OUR BELIEFS ARE BASED UPON GOD’S WORD
Foundations of Our Faith
Our foundational beliefs are deeply rooted in the timeless truths revealed within the pages of God's Word. Every aspect of our teachings and ministries is intricately woven with and emanates from these sacred and enduring Biblical doctrines, guiding our mission and shaping our community. Embracing these foundational doctrines, we aim to inspire and empower each individual within our community to live out their faith with authenticity and conviction.
-
Jesus ChristThe Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin; led a sinless life; bore our sins, sicknesses, and afflictions through His death on the cross; was bodily resurrected from the dead and ascended to the right hand of the Father. This same Jesus will return again to earth (Luke 1:26-31, John 20:1-29, Romans 8:34, Hebrews 10:12, 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17, 1 John 3:5). Jesus came to preach the gospel, heal the brokenhearted and destroy the works of the devil. Before He ascended into heaven, Jesus gave the church the responsibility and His authority to complete this same task (Luke 4:14, Luke 4:43, Matthew 28:18-19).
-
The BibleThe Bible is the inspired Word of God, absolutely without error, and the only infallible rule of faith and conduct. God’s Word has the power to change lives through the reading, meditation, study, anointed teaching, and application of its truths (2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12).
-
PrayerPrayer is the key to success in doing anything for God. We can do nothing without His power, but with Him, nothing is impossible to those who believe and will pray (Mark 9:23, Mark 11:24, James 5:16).
-
DiscipleshipOur faith is demonstrated in full devotion to Jesus Christ as Lord of every part of our lives. The supreme earmark of every Christ-follower is faith expressing itself in love. True ministry and evangelism are built upon personal relationships, testifying and witnessing Christ to others who don’t know Him, other ways to lead others to Christ is by serving them through prayer, acts of kindness, sharing our testimony and inviting them to church or a small group (Romans 12:1, Galatians 5:6, 1 Peter 4:10).
-
MarriageThe Biblical definition of marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman (Matthew 19:4-6).
-
The ChurchThe Church is intended to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every Christian is part of the priesthood of believers and has been called to actively advance God’s Kingdom by use of their spiritual gifts; this calling is not limited to ordained pastors and staff but every member of the church. One day each of us will be judged on how faithful we are in stewarding our opportunities & abilities (Matthew 5:14-16, 1 Corinthians 12:27, 1 Peter 2:9, 2 Corinthians 5:10).
-
Ordinances of the ChruchCommunion. Taking the bread and wine as remembering the sacrifice Jesus gave of His Blood and Body on the Cross (1 Corinthians 11:26). Water Baptism. By immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and in the name of Jesus (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4).
-
GodGod’s revelation of Himself in the Bible shows He exists as one God in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit (John 1:14, John 10:30, 2 Corinthians 3:17, Colossians 1:15-17).

The Holy SpiritTHE HOLY SPIRIT AND HIS BAPTISM The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He is co-equal, co-eternal, and co-existent with the Father and with the Son. His ministry upon the earth is to convict and covert man as well as be the great paraclete (comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthened, and standby) to the Church. The baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus to all believers and is received subsequent to and in addition to the New Birth. The initial evidence of speaking with other tongues, as well as other manifestations described in Acts 2, accompanies this experience. Whereas there is one initial baptism, there are many subsequent infillings of the Spirit. The purpose of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is so that we, the believers, may have the power to be witnesses. Matthew 3:11 John 14:16-17 Acts 1:8 Acts 2. All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. Luke 24:49 Acts 1:4 Acts 1:8 1 Corinthians 12:1-31. This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. Acts 8:12-17 Acts 10:44-46 Acts 11:14-16 Acts 15:7-9 With the baptism in the Holy Spirit come such experiences as an overflowing fullness of the Spirit, John 7:37-39, Acts 4:8 A deepened reverence for God, Acts 2:43, Hebrews 12:28. An intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work, Acts 2:42 and more active love for Christ, for His Word, and for the lost, Mark 16:20.

SalvationAll men are lost apart from the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and sin is cleansed and salvation is received only through personal repentance and faith in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23, Romans 10:9-10, Titus 3:5-7).
